Commitment

We ask you to make a commitment to training – a commitment to your dog… to read and watch the resources and take time to train each day.  Great things can happen when we work together as a team with your dog!

Training

  • We coach using reward-based methods and positive associations.

  • Throughout training, handlers are fully responsible for their dogs.

  • Please don’t approach another dog in training, without their guardian’s consent.

  • The following are not acceptable at any event:  choke/check chains, prong/pinch collars, electric shock collars, rattle bottles, water pistols or other aversive tools.  For safety reasons, retractable, slip and chain leads are also not advised.  Please contact us if you would like advice on this type of equipment.

  • We do not condone verbal or physical punishment, such as dogs being intimidated, pushed into position, smacked, jerked on the lead etc.

  • If you can’t attend a training session, let us know as soon as possible.

  • If you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 or other infectious illness, are waiting on the results of a test, or have been asked to self-isolate – please do not attend training and let us know immediately.  Current Government health guidance will be followed.

  • If your dog is injured, in season or ill, they may not be well enough to train – ask your vet for advice and contact us before the training session.

  • Photographs and videos taken at class and 1-2-1 sessions, and those sent as homework challenges, may be posted on our website, Facebook page or used in training resources – please let us know if you would prefer not to be included.

Cancellations:  In-person / Online Classes, Courses, Workshops, Training Camps and Events

  • Payment is made in advance and is generally non-refundable.

  • If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible – if we can fill your place, then we will reimburse you, minus a small deduction for any online resources.

  • Refunds cannot be given once a Course has started.

  • Individual missed classes within a Course cannot be refunded.  Please do let us know if you can’t come along, as we tailor each class for those attending.

  • If an event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, then it will be rescheduled – if the new date is not suitable, then a refund will be offered.

Cancellations:  1-2-1 Training

  • Payment is made in advance and is generally non-refundable.

  • If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule.   Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may result in the session fee being forfeited.

Children

  • We welcome children to our events and encourage them to participate in training.

  • All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • It's recommended that children under the age of 8 should have an additional adult to supervise them, allowing you to focus on training.

  • Children must not approach other dogs unless they are asked to by the Trainer.

  • Please let us know in advance if you are bringing children to class with you.
